Answers to the Top 10 Issues in the World,
According to the UN
#1 Poverty, Hunger And Lack Of Drinking Water
The three of these things follow that basic principle that desolate poverty is wrong. In cities, we are a place where desolate poverty exists. I am poor in America. If poverty can exist in America, where can there be real justice? If we fail here, what is the value of our export?
Fucking motherfucking goddamn poverty, hunger and water. These are the things those with money bestow upon our weak. But let the rich be rich! Says America. We manage the cash.
As long as there is a United States that does not live up completely to its morals, there is no reason for those morals to progress. Iraq never craved democracy. Saudi Arabia is as horrible as the Islamic State. Islam is anathema to the western ideal. How can these things be fixed?
So, yes. Poverty hunger and water. Please give all humans these things. But the lack there of is, as it is in all things, cause humans are flawed.
Fix humans first. None of the rest of it comes until that is done.
Climate change
For the last 27 years, I’ve been watching climate change. For most of that time, absolutely nothing has been done. I expect that trend to continue.
For climate change to be reversed, we, as a species; like fucking all of us… everything single one…
This is hard to convey. Most every single human would have to live according to nature to keep the planet stable. Yeah, fucking you. The reader of this thing. Diminish your carbon footprint to negative! NoW!
Ain’t gonna happen. And so instead of trying to defer, we plan.
Planning means, in this fucked up capitalism, rich people get contracts for jobs that poor people perform to gather meager wages to continue their own existence, but never get ahead. But, as capitalism flourishes in this modern age, the act of building should be encouraged.
We’ve already fucked ourselves. Spend money to plan for the future.
Economics
Oh what time I could spend on economics. Instead, I ask one question on the subject that all others rest. Find an alternative to money.
Terrorism
Radical people mostly in the Middle East hate the West, and, from their perspective, for good reason. Islam is diametrically opposed to Western culture. In the United States, we tried, by Constitutional amendment, to stop our residents from drinking. In the United States, we decided that the Constitutional amendment barring drinking was so absurd, we double-amended our Constitution to allow for alcohol drink, in effect bestowing a Constitutional right to get drunk.
The concept that alcohol is to be allowed to be consumed in any society is an anathema, as I understand it, to Islam. They are forced to destroy us. Those that don’t, aren’t following Islam. If they face us directly, we have to do what is necessary to destroy them. They fight us because they can’t accept us. Doesn’t that mean, we can’t accept them?
Energy
In no way am I an expert. However, it seems like nuclear is the answer. Use solar where available, wind where available, but mostly relay on nuclear. Next stage, mine planets/ moons for organic compounds. Better yet, learn to live within our means.
Population Increase
Big fucking problem that is going to happen soon. Your grocery bill will signify this item’s emergence.
Solutions? What, kill off 2 billion people? Ludicrous. Anyway, they’d be replaced by two billion more.
We’re gonna fuck until we’ve filled the planet. We have to determine what the extent of the plant is. This is policy, not reproduction.
Disease
I don’t intend to find our instances of disease deaths as proportioned to instances of death based, in general terms, upon poverty, but I bet lots that poverty has disease in droves. If I’m wrong, let me know.
Fights
Conflict sucks, but there is no Anthropological evidence that violence is not part of our basic nature. Fights will occur. We cannot help it as a species.
In about 50,000 years, the human species went from being a back-water to eliminating every other human-like species on Earth. Violence, intimidation, social control; these are things basic to our design. We didn’t conquer the plant through peace.
That’s not to say peace isn’t great. It just shouldn’t be expected at all times.
Nuclear Weapons
Yes, nukes pose a problem to all of us. I really hope the nuclear deal with Iran goes through. Though I have never heard an Iranian official say they want a nuclear bomb, persuading them against any thought in that direction is positive.
My favorite thing about the Iranian nuclear deal is that it is fair. Why do we have such a hatred against the Iranian people? These are the proud Persians. We hate them because they are a Theology. We fear a Theology with nukes.
Perhaps we should. A Theology with nukes might try to nuke our interests. But they’ve never said the wrong thing. I’ve never heard an Iranian official say, off camera or otherwise, that, actually, they wanted a nuke, but were just lying to the Americans.
Yeah, I’m sure the Iranians wouldn’t mind if four nuclear weapons were to land on their doorstep, with full report to be exposed. What nation that doesn’t have nukes doesn’t want this?
We ask a different standard from the Iranians because we don’t like their form of government. Well, they don’t like our style either. What makes us so goddamn special as to insist ours is better.
It comes down to the fact that we are, and always have been, a Christian nation. This is not true, based upon fact on the ground, so we must change.
Or, we must destroy them on the ground as a culture devoted to the free expression of ideas that the United States of America has it’s basis in.
The Unknown
How can I speak to this, considering it is unknown. Those things occurring in this world at this time, frightened me more than even the vanishingly small chance an asteroid will destroy us all.
