How the brain can go wrong.

 

Pleasure system cannot be satiated (binge drinking)

Pleasure system needs to be always satiated. (sustenance drinking, many other drugs)

Loony/ Something permanently broken (schizophrenia)

Something temporarily broken (amnesia, drugs, withdrawal from drugs)

Fried brain circuits (dementia)

Gets too sad when sad (melancholia)

Gets too happy when happy (mania)

Gets too angry when angry (anger management issues)

Never gets happy (dysthymia)

Never gets sad (eternal optimist) — note: not considered a broken brain.

Cares too much about little things. (obsessive compulsive)

Cares too much about important things (phobias)

Can’t stop from caring about everything (anxiety)

Doesn’t want to be themselves/self-loathing (transgender, common symptom of depression)

There’s just too much (emotional breaks. Becoming psychotic.)

I can’t feel enough/ anything.

I have mislead myself into believing something that isn’t true (eating disorders, grandiosity)

Too much adrenaline (add/adhd)

Too little adrenaline (boredom)

Sex is messy (Take anything from above, apply sexuality, something will go “wrong”)

Melatonin dis-regulation (primary cause of most sleep disorders)

Hates society (kleptomania, antisocial)

In-group/ Out-group (bigotry)

Cares too much about self (narcissism)

Cares too much about others (caregivers. Not considered a broken brain)

Something keep recurring in my memory (ptsd, fixation)

Can’t deal with stress (avoidant, agoraphobia)

Cortisol level issues not otherwise defined (neglect of family, shared-gene child abuse)
