Fascism for the Forth

Fascism for the Forth

I read this speech. For a moment afterwords I actually shook in terror. Still hours after doing so, my heart is sick with fear. I've always expected he would come for me. US law and the diminishment which is my status kept me safe thus far, but this may be the siren's call leading finally to my unlawful arrest. What pit will I find myself in, unable to escape, if he gets his way?

Trump is insidious. This speech is proof. From the onset of his career as a politician, one need only look at what he says to determine what argument he thinks will work against him, some sort of blatant exaggerated maneuver to get ahead of the story. For instance, in this speech he says he's going to save us all from the “new far-left fascism.” Other than a complete ignorance of the meaning of the word “fascism,” this tells the savvy reader what Trump fears, being branded a fascist. That shoe fits comfortably, a correct usage of the word, which is why we know he frets about it. Distraction is his default.

In another passage, he says, “Our founders launched... a revolution in the pursuit of justice, equality, liberty, and prosperity.” So, he fears his political rivals will accuse him, as they constantly do, rightfully, of being unjust, disparaging of equality, alien to liberty, and a failure at bringing a prosperous life to our citizens.

See how this works? He mentions, in opposite, the things closest to his heart. Then, he can say that, just the other day, he was talking about justice and equality and all that, so how can those fake media goblins possibly portray him as a inhumane tyrant? Misdirection, plain and simple.

“Our nation is witnessing a merciless campaign to wipe out our history, defame our heroes, erase our values, and indoctrinate our children.” All one has to do is replace “Our nation is witnessing,” in the quote above, with “Trump is bringing about,” and the truth is shown. Now, I'd like you to try one on your own:

“One of their [the Left-wing cockroaches] political weapons is cancel culture, driving people from their jobs, shaming dissenters, and demanding total submission from anyone who disagrees.”

So, it's not the Left who is trying to do this, but...

That's right! Trump. Clear as day.

But did you see the red herring? He's not trying to drive people from their jobs. I think working 9 to 5 for corporate overlords is a complete destruction of liberty and free will, but I would never try to drive anyone from their job (except maybe cops). No one would do that. Trump wants everyone to be forced to work, for nothing if he had his way, so that was added just to confuse. He's sly.

One more, the next line in the speech. “This is the very definition of totalitarianism, and it is completely alien to our culture and to our values and it has absolutely no place in the United States of America.”

The Left is fighting totalitarianism. Protest is integral to our culture, enshrined in the 1st Amendment. So, who's the totalitarian completely alien to our culture? Bingo.

There are many more in this speech. Read it if you have the courage. Make sure there is someone near to hold your hand afterwords, or maybe a hug. Expect not to sleep well for a day or two.

This is how he rolls, has rolled since day one. Lies, deceit, deception, discord. Somehow it worked in 2016, an Orwellian masterpiece. If it works again, we are so screwed that I will not be alone in that pit I alluded to at the beginning. Many throngs of others. Maybe you.

Luckily, it has no chance of working. I mean, it didn't work in 2016.

This abject fear is not a dream. It is justified.

It could happen again.
